It's basically just waiting... waiting... waiting.... THERE'S A GAP! AAAAAAAHH!!! And then you're sitting in a puddle of feces and you can't remember how you managed to do it.

That's like the stretch between my entrance ramp on the toll road and the exit for Dulles International Airport (which is on the left).

Haha, I hate having to do that too. I'm pretty sure that could technically get you a ticket too.

Hah. One of the worst type of things you sometimes find.
Here in São Paulo there's one like this that I have to take to go from university to my mother in law's house. But this place is ALWAYS busy. So, there is no 3-lane gap for you to simply cross. You have to turn in, merge left, merge left, merge left, gtfo. All in a 50m space. Good if you need a quick adrenaline rush. Bad if you have heart issues. Because not only is it busy, but it's also on 90km/h speed limit. Which means everybody's doing 100.
Worst part is that it's not only busy on the lanes, but also crossing. I really wonder why they haven't put a stop light there, yet.

The "almost" accident I posted happened today because of a turn like this.

This is why I like my car's launch control gimmick. It works kinda well. And it has a goofy checkered flag icon on the dash.

Yeah, that always gets the blood going. It is like rolling the dice and hoping that you will make it to the other side a-ok. It is one of the few times I get close to putting the pedal to the metal. I am thankful my usual driver has a healthy V-8 to get me going and out of harms way.

Why would you be sitting in a puddle of feces?

I was gonna say, easy solution - by a sports car, spin the tires off the line and still get through the gap with out worry, lol

Why wouldn't you? Have I been driving wrong this whole time?
